Chilly Chicken Recipe | Dry Chilli Chicken | Spicy Snack

An indo-chinese dish that can be prepared with boneless chicken or chicken with bones. A party starter that can go with beer or a chilled drink.


1 – In a bowl, take 800 gm of chicken. Add 1 tsp salt, add 1 tsp vinegar, 1 cup of water. Mix it well and keep it aside for 30 mins.
2 – After 30 mins, leave 1/4 of water inside the marination bowl.
3 – Add 1/2 cup all purpose flour, 1/4 of corn starch, 1 tsp ginger / garlic paste, 1/2 black pepper powder. Mix it well.
4 – Fry (med heat) for 5-7 mins both sides.
5 – Take the chicken out and let it sit for 8-10 mins for it to cool down and settle.
6 – Fry the chicken again for 5-7 mins both sides and it should look as shown in the video. It should have a crunchy feel to it.
7 – In a cooking pan (med heat), add 3 tbsp of olive oil, add 1 tbsp of ginger / garlic paste. Add 20 gm of green onion. Stir fry for 2-4 mins.
8. Add 110 green peppers and add 1 tsp of salt, and stir for 5 mins till peppers become a little softer. At that point, add 80 gm of onion. Stir for another 2 mins. Add vinegar 1 tsp, add ajinomoto 2 tsp, black pepper powder 1 tsp, garlic chilly sauce 1 tbsp, sambal sauce 1 tbsp, soy sauce 1 tsp. Keep stirring for another min.
9 – Add chicken into the mix and mix it very well.
10 – Add 1 tbsp of honey.

Garnish with green onion and SERVE!
